a healthy habit tracker with a new approach

Daylily is a case that seeks to discover what technology can really do to affect human behavior for the better. In a market saturated with big promises and quick fixes, I explored a different approach: a realistic, holistic, gamified system for lasting healthy change. Throughout my design thinking process, I researched, theorized, tested, and created ways to create an app that could keep users engaged and invested in their own personal health.

Problem Statement

Individuals living with mental health issues that affect executive functioning need

[a way to develop and sustain a beneficial healthier lifestyle that understands and adapts to them specifically]

because

[existing health programs and solutions focus too heavily on achieving goals fast, and overlook the unique motivation challenges that come with a lack mental health management].

We will know this to be true when we see

[users able to form a stronger commitment to their short and long-term goals by managing their unique mental health].
